Temple is a quiet place, and we treat your data that way. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We collect as little as we can.

01 What we collect

We collect only what's needed to run Temple well:

Account details you give us — such as your name and email.
Your activity in the app — highlights, notes, and listening progress — so your library stays in sync.
Basic device and usage data that helps us fix problems and improve the experience.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

02 How we use it

Your data is used to deliver the service, remember where you left off, personalize what you see, process subscriptions, and communicate with you about your account. Where we send product updates, you can opt out at any time.

03 Sharing

We share data only with trusted providers who help us operate — for hosting, analytics, and payment processing — and only as much as they need. They're bound to protect it. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

04 Your choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Reach us and we'll act on your request promptly. Deleting your account removes your personal data from active systems, subject to limited legal retention.

05 Security & retention

We protect your data with encryption in transit and reasonable safeguards at rest. We keep it only as long as your account is active or as needed to meet legal obligations — then we remove it.
